Hey Melissa!, I love you like no other and it ain't even Valentine's Day yet

Flowers, flowers, flowers. I work in the flower world. Every year, Valentine's Day comes along and I work my ass off, lifting and stacking boxes and dumping lots of buckets. It's usually a stretch of about a week and a half of 12 plus hour days. As each day ends, I become more and more brain dead, thinking of not working forever. It's kinda weird seeing everyone getting all goo goo over this holiday. I don't need one special day to tell my girlfriend that I love her and take her out to some crowded-ass resturant, just like everybody else does. I always love her and we always eat good stuff, so who needs that day. By the time it actually comes along, I'm too tired for love. The sight or mention of flowers from anyone will only result in a numb response and a quick change of the subject. It's like asking the janitor for tips on unclogging your toilet ten minutes after they clocked out. I like my job and all. I even like everyone I work with, which is pretty rare from what I hear from most folks. I'm just not crazy about flowers anymore. It was a lot different when I wasn't around the stuff. I used to ride my bike around town and occasionally pick flowers here and there and give them to people. But now, who gives a rat's ass? I don't like bringing my work home with me. It burns me out............................but people do like flowers being given to them. I guess I kinda forget that sometimes. So I think I need to hear me some more tunes to make me feel more human again.
Crayon was my friend Pete's band. This is when he started getting out of metal and started doing his own thing. I once took a music theory class with him and all we did was make up fake metal band names. He got an A in that class. I didn't pass, I'm not a theory kind of guy. I think he went on to get a degree in music and started to teach at a music store. He used to deliver flowers, so he wrote a song about it.

100 Flowers were what The Urinals became. I like both bands just the same but today is more of a 100 Flowers kind of day. If you should ever stumble across their full length, I think it would be a nice addition to anyone's collection.

This one isn't from my collection. I ripped it off from a show on KDVS called "Ringin' the Cowbell in the Treehouse". Man, what a great song. I'm glad I was listening to the radio at 5 in the morning. Lots and lots and lots of good things are happening from that place.
