Neil Smith

Neil Smith was a goofball rocker who put out a bunch of self released recordings all through the late 80's up till somewhere around the early 2000's. They had titles like "Master of Puppies", "Hell Toupee", "Electric Underwear" and "Barf at the Moon", to name a few, I'm sure there were a few more. He probably got compared to Weird Al a lot back then. Besides putting out his own stuff, he also put some time in with The Gargoyles and The White Trash Debutantes as well as an earlier band of his called Stevie Stiletto. He had a label called Razor Records going for a while. He put an ad out at one time saying that if you sent him a blank tape he would tape a bunch of stuff for you. It consisted mainly of his projects and some songs by The Fuckboys and The Flex Appleasers along with a few commercials that he did in a funny rocker voice. He introduced each band before their songs came on, it reminded me of all the tapes we used to make when we were kids. I still wish that I had that tape that me and my cousin made where all we did was tape a bunch of farts. It was fart, giggle, click, fart, giggle, click for about ten minutes. He still talks about it.

Here's a few choice selections from the tape.

Neil Smith - Hell Toupee

Neil Smith - Hershey Highway

Neil Smith - Lethal Gospel ad

Neil Smith - Stevie Stiletto ad

The Gargoyles - Michigan

The adress that is mentioned on here is no longer valid, so don't try and write a letter to it or anything.

It seems as though Mr. Neil Smith is now some kind of wedding singer of sorts. Check him out.

This Neil Smith is not to be confused with the Neal Smith of the classic line up from Alice Cooper's band. That Neal is now a Rock N Realtor.
